haha...eating the traditional sandwich of holland...cold raw herring with a pickle and onions...it wasnt that bad....if you didnt look at it.

a fish stand in the market...we are making some for dinner tonight!
so just some random photos....not sure what our plans are...we kind of wore out or welcome here for some reason...the RA doesnt really like us too much even though we do dishes and clean all the time....but anyway....we've had a great time and eva was wonderful. we did the van gogh museum today...kinda cool, but definitely NOT worth 10 euros! yikes....we did a canal tour yesterday...it was nice and perfect weather yet again. so we are here one more night then its back to backpacking....we still want to do the hard rock and vondel park, we'll probably do that tomorrow. well im off to help make dinner..and then we have to figure out our plans. will let you know where we are headed. we actually got to catch some of the pats game...so that was awesome. and i guess thats all for now. take care!

It's been so long my blogging skills are rusty. Photos look great. What kind of fish did you get at the market? The pickled herring sandwich sounds good. Hmmm - I may have some in the frige. So off to a new adventure tomorrow. That's exciting. Glad you caught some of the Pat's game - it was a good one. Sox play tonite. If Manny hits a homerun you will probably be able to hear Mom from there.
A bientot,
Love Dad

Dear Iya- I must admit that I thought you would have green or blue hair, so all in all, not bad! Nice job Dan! Fish sandwiches! Nice! Your Great Grandma Purdy's (from Alsace Lorraine (sp?))favorite treat was herring. When I was growing up, we always had herring for all the major holidays at our house. Maybe I should reinstate the tradition? I know Eva wanted to experience the traditional herring treat before she left. Glad you could experience it together. I love the blog. Pictures are beautiful, canal boat rides, sunsets, dutch flowers, haircuts....wahoo!!
Where to next Waldo?
Can't wait to hear of your next adventures. Love rmom
